The Inaugural Clearwater Tech Olympics was a great success with 6 teams competing for the right to claim gold for their respective countries and to boost of their spoils until the next Tech Olympiad games.
Food trucks, a beer truck and even the Ben and Jerry’s ice cream truck came out to witness techies at their greatest. From a Twitter obstacle course, to a corn hole ultimate tournament the stakes were high and the bragging rights even higher.
Clearwater Mayor George Cretekos was also in attendance to cheer on the employees of Clearwater’s hottest technology companies. Oh yeah, and we made the news. No big deal.
We battled it out to claim our place among Tech Olympics, but fell short of the mark. While we were unable to grasp the cool gold metal of victory, we forged a great fight and competed with valor, honor and good-natured fun to place 3rd in the Ultimate Corn Hole Tournament.
We made several friends along the way and can’t wait to compete next year for Tech Olympiad gold.
Now, on to the pictures.
